How do I submit stories?
If you have not already done so, please register for an account. Once you've logged in, click on Account Information and choose Add Story. The form presented there will allow you to submit your story.
This is a semi-closed archive, however. What this means is that stories are posted by writers who have an invitation to post here. To recieve an invitation, go to the forums and post your stories in the appropriate group. Well written, *finished*, stories will recieve strong consideration.
Another option is to answer one of the I Challenge You posts in the forums, if your story is accepted for inclusion in the Challenge series, you automatically gain an author slot on the archive.
Alternatively, an invited author may submit your name to the admins for consideration. This method shortcuts the process considerably, however you do have to know one of the writers who likes your work.
There's this ugly black box in the middle of the story! How do I get rid of it?
The black box is an artifact from the tinyMCE text editor the system uses to format rich text for the site. Simply unchecking the box at the bottom of the page will clear the black box from any given story page, but for 99.9 percent of readers it's better to go into your account, then personal preference, and completely turn off tinyMCE. Only authors have any real use for the editor, and not every one of us needs it either.
